Klados
The Klados Winery is a small family business, that was started in 1997.
The founder, Manolis Klados, is a qualified Chemist and trained master Oenologist, with 30 years experience in the industry, who pioneered wine making in the prefecture of Rethymno.
The first winery was set up in small rented premises, located in the outskirts of the city of Rethymno, with a production capacity of 20,000 Litres/year, that grew over time.
The early activity was mainly Bag-in-Box and the first serious consumer branding with bottled products started in 2002.
Business grew steadily and as the existing production capacity was outgrown, the business was relocated in 2007, in purpose built family owned premises, with a capacity of 100.000 Litres/year, in the area of Panormo, 25 km east of the city of Rethymno.
Kourkoulou
The Kourkoulou winery is the newest family winery in Rethymno . Its first harvest was in 2017 with two labels: Pendozali White and Pendozali Rosé. The winery can be visited after consultation.
Zoumperakis
According to the experts, Crete is considered to be the best winegrowing area in the world. It is here, in this blessed land, 3 generations ago, that the history of the Zoumberaki Family as viticulturists and producers of the highest quality wines began.
The Zoumberaki Family has been, for many decades, writing its oenological (hi)story Rethymno, with the taste of tradition and the fragrances of nature. Today, the winery is “steered” by the third generation of the dedicated winemakers, who remain loyal to the traditional techniques and the meraki (the burning love for what they do that drives them to strive for perfection) of their ancestors, constantly and continuously enriching the family know-how with cutting-edge winemaking methods.
