Chrysos Asterias

Driving northwest and in a short distance from Rethymno you will reach the beach of Chrysos Asterias.

The beautiful beach of Chrysos Asterias, which means Golden Starfish, is located at Episkopi Rethymnou.

It took its name due to the golden sand. 

The beach is organized with  umbrellas, sunbeds, showers and changing rooms.

You can enjoy a cold drink at the snack bar of the beach or taste traditional Cretan food at the restaurant.

The sandy beach is ideal and safe for families with kids because there is always a lifeguard. 

Additionally, there is plenty of space and a playground for the children to play.
